HOW TO RE-CERTIFY
Certification must be renewed every three years. During this time, each CM must accumulate 30 Participation Activity points in order to qualify for re-certifcation. A re-certification fee of $150 USD ($350 for non-members) as well as a completed Participation Activity Form and Renewal Examination must be submitted to MBNA National Headquarters in order to complete the re-certification process. Please print out, complete, and fax, email, or mail the required forms to MBNA Headquarters.
Each CM will be notified of their impending renewal by MBNA Headquarters. Upon reaching the age of 65, "Life" Certification is granted, and no further renewal is required.
If a CM fails to meet the recertification requirements, their certification shall be terminated. If a CM fails to adhere to MBNA's Code of Good Practice, certification may be revoked. In such cases, the CM is entitled to notification in writing, a hearing by the Certification Committee, and 30 days notice of the hearing.
Memorialists who lose their certification by not renewing on a timely basis may be reinstated by meeting the criteria of initial certification. |
