The Gala Reception and Casino Night with Dinner provide you with one last chance to finish building business relationships started on the show floor. Beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, the event features an hour-long cocktail reception followed by dinner with a casino event occurring throughout all in celebration of the Association’s Consumer Advocacy Program. Attendees representing all aspects of the memorialization industry attend this event, creating an excellent venue for discussing business opportunities and partnerships. This is your chance to meet with members of the industry you may have missed during show hours.

The Legislative/Consumer Advocacy Committee, chaired by Debbie Dalton, CM, AICA will again be hosting the traditional Consumer Advocacy Auction as part of the Show but this year with a “CA-sino Night” twist, with the “CA” highlighting support for Consumer Advocacy.

Personal donations are being sought for the auction, and we could use your help!  To date we have the following donations and would like to pose a challenge to other State and Regional Associations as well as members and friends to get involved and support this effort by making similar donations!

Closing Awards Luncheon

The Closing Awards Luncheon will provide time for additional networking and a chance for a renewed energy and understanding of our industry.  What better way to unwind after an exciting MBNA Convention than at the Closing Awards Luncheon?  The MBNAspires to Success Awards will be presented and new Certified Memorialists will be recognized.

MBNAspire to Success Awards
MBNA’s Aspire Awards were created to recognize monument builder companies that have drawn favorable attention to their companies, and in turn, to the industry through their specialized marketing and/or public relations campaigns.

All MBNA members in good standing are invited to submit entries for the 2008 MBNAspire to Success Marketing & Public Relations Contest.  For more information on how to submit, click here.

Any publicity you’ve received during the contest year (November 1, 2007 through November 1, 2008) is eligible. This includes coverage by newspapers, magazines, television, new acquisitions, celebrated anniversaries or testimonial letters.

Up to three (3) winners will be awarded the handsome granite MBNAspire Award, a tall, polished trophy that adds elegance and interest to any member’s lobby or bookshelf. Honorable mention entries will receive a certificate of merit suitable for framing. All winning entries will be featured in MBNews.
